Bedtime
As the day winds to a close we can look back and a mixed feelings sort of day. You know, one of those, everyone wakes up on the wrong side of the bed it's dreary outside and the house is a mess, kind of days. But we went to MOPS, came home and had lunch, had much needed naps and guess what? The sun came out and we got to go outside for some playtime and a long walk. Nothing like a little sunshine to change the mood. Now that the kids are tucked into their beds I get to sit here and listen to their version of bedtime, and it's such a sweet time (ok most of the time!). Listening to them talk back and forth and Emma "read" stories to Ben from memory, hearing her sing songs, and him recite every word he knows just to stay awake, is surprisingly soothing to me. Sure I want them to sleep and being in the same room it's a much longer process, but it's so nice to hear them loving each other before bedtime and then later go up and see them sleeping sweet and peacefully in their beds. Ah, the joys of parenthood!

Busy life
Wow, life sure does move so quickly. So much has happened and life ran away leaving me in the dust. Between my boy turning 1, my girl starting preschool, a broken foot and surgery for me, surgery for Ben, Bible studies, playgroups, and everything else we've been pretty busy!
I have so many cute and funny stories that have happened over the past months, but it would take one really long post to share them all, so I'll just start fresh when the next great and funny one happens. The kids are growing like weeds, and so for now I'll just share a recent photo.

Yet again, I make the promise to keep up with this. I've enjoyed going back and reading the old posts and look forward to more documentation of our adventures, especially as summer approaches!
